On 28 July 2024 lecture at Guru Nanak Engineering College, Ludhiana, Paramjit Singh Gazi addressed the pressing water crisis in Punjab, focusing on the critical issue of polluted groundwater. He outlined how excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture, coupled with industrial effluents and inadequate waste management, has severely contaminated groundwater sources. Paramjit Singh Gazi suggested a comprehensive strategy to address these challenges. He emphasized the necessity for more stringent controls on the use of chemicals, the enhancement of waste treatment facilities, and the shift towards sustainable farming methods.
