The ProForm Carbon TLX Treadmill is a newer treadmill on the market. In this review, I go over what to expect and how it performed for our team. The Carbon TLX is a little unique to ProForm’s lineup of treadmills because it doesn’t have a touch screen. It is compatible to use with iFIT. In order to stream iFIT, you need to use the iFIT app on your phone.

iFIT offers thousands of trainer-led workouts that you can access in the app in a variety of disciplines for on and off-the-treadmill training. What’s nice about using iFIT with the Carbon TLX, is that the treadmill will automatically adjust when your phone is synced to the console.

On its own, the ProForm Carbon TLX is a great budget treadmill for running. It has a foldable deck to save you space in your home. It’s also fairly compact, yet accommodating for pretty much all running strides. There are also 2 transport wheels so you can move it around a little bit when you need to.

The 3.0 CHP motor is quiet and good for light to moderate amounts of running. It goes up to 12 mph and has a 12% incline range so you have plenty of options to vary your training. The deck is 20” wide and 60” long to be compact, yet spacious to run on.

The deck cushioning is supportive and helps to lessen the impact on your joints. It’s also a little more shock-absorbing than other entry-level treadmills. I think most users should find the cushioning to be comfortable, as well as the build overall to be stable and sturdy.

The console is simple with a 7” display. There are quick-adjusting buttons for interval training and a place for your water and device. This is a good treadmill if you just want to hop on and go, or if you want the option to stream from iFIT or other streaming apps on your phone or tablet. It’s also a treadmill that you could just park in front of a TV.
