Polio cases has decreased by over 99% since 1988 while Nigeria was certified free of wild polio virus in 2020 thanks to the global vaccination efforts. October 24th marks world polio day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the fight against polio. Africa 54 Health correspondent Linord Moudou talks to Dr. Tunji Funsho, Chairman Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee of Rotary International on how much progress has been made against this worldwide disease.
