🇿🇲Zambezi REEL🇿🇲 New Co-Owners of Madawaska Kanu Centre, sisters Katrina & Stefi van Wijk took a trip to Zambia to celebrate this exciting new chapter of MKC!

"Our time in Zambia absolutely exceeded our expectations. Hollering down the rapids, seeing huge wildlife in the National Parks, and meeting the happiest people alive. The Zambezi sustains beautiful life and community."

They paddled the Batoka Gorge of the Zambezi River, below the famous World Wonder, Mosi-Oa-Tunya or Victoria Falls. Surrounded by kayaker friends from around the world, Katrina and Stefi wanted to travel across the world to enjoy these famous rapids before they get tragically dammed (construction is planned to begin in 2024).

What incredibly beautiful rapids, what an exhilarating river, and what an amazing country.
