Boneless chicken pieces coated with creamy yogurt marination, cooked till perfection.
MALAI CHICKEN TIKKA
Ingredients
250 grams boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
¼ cup hung yogurt
½ cup grated processed cheese
2-3 tablespoons fresh cream
½ teaspoon green chilli paste
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
¼ teaspoon nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
White pepper powder to taste
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons fresh cream
Butter for greasing
Method
1. Mix together yogurt and cheese in a bowl.
2. Add green chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder, salt and oil and mix well. Add cream and mix again.
3. Add chicken pieces and mix well. Refrigerate to marinate for 1-2 hours.
4. Preheat oven to 180˚ C. Line a baking tray with aluminium sheet and grease with some butter.
5. Skewer the marinated chicken pieces onto satay sticks and place them on the lined tray.
6. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
7. Serve hot with green chutney.
