Sarah describes how she was embarrassed and insulted by her new supervisor in front of the whole office. She was then advised by her colleague on how to raise her concerns to HR and get help on her grievances in the office.
It is important to ensure that a proper grievance handling procedure (GHP) is in place and is communicated to all employees. This allows them to raise their concerns in a safe environment. It also allows employers to identify and address unacceptable or unlawful practices quickly.
