The EPP political family stretches across all EU institutions and throughout the Member States. Parliamentarians from EPP-allied parties in national legislatures and Members of the European Parliament from the EPP Group regularly meet to exchange views on the latest developments in the EU and to discuss how to best coordinate common approaches. This week here in Brussels has seen the 15th summit of EPP Group members and the chairs of EPP parliamentary groups in national parliaments. Whether or not to change the EU treaties in response to the ongoing debt crisis has been one of the topics under discussion.
