Why? Because home gel nail kits are much more likely to be used compared to visiting a salon. So higher frequency of use and exposure leads to more likelihood of sensitization to allergens in gel polish, and increased exposure to UV (if you’re using UV lamp to cure)
So I recommend getting gel nails done professionally and don’t forget to apply sunscreen to hands beforehand
