Many electricians will have experienced, in their early days, a moment of panic when they have been presented with too much information.
Too many tables to look through, all the tables giving different information and generally making it difficult to be certain that the information you have is the correct one for you, for the circuit that is in front of you.
In this short video we will take Zs, the system loop impedance and go back to basics to discover just which tables in the Wiring Regulations and the On-site guide that the information comes from; and then look at how it is calculated.
How do they allow for temperature and voltage fluctuations in the circuit, because they both affect the values of the circuit.
What is a tabulated value and why is it different to a measured value and which one should you use.
The answers will be here.
