The Baku is a mythical creature in Japanese folklore known as the "dream eater." It has the body parts of various animals, like an elephant's trunk, a tiger's paws, and an ox's tail. When someone has a nightmare, they can call upon the Baku to devour the bad dream, ensuring peaceful sleep. However, if the Baku is too greedy, it might also consume all of the person’s hopes and dreams, leaving them with nothing. The Baku is a double-edged sword, powerful but dangerous if overused.
