Carbis Bay Beach, a subtropical splendour owned by the Carbis Bay Hotel is an awarding winning beach and a beautiful place to visit. Its long stretch of golden sand and clear blue waters which are safe for swimming and bathing helped the beach score in the top five in Cornwall's Blue Flag best beaches.
The beach is just a mile away from the extremely popular town of St Ives so is a great place to stop by on a visit. Carbis Bay Beach rarely sees any swell or surf and has very calm waters, perfect for paddle-boarding, swimming and to take young children down to the waters edge. The beach is accessible from the coast path as well as the branch line between St Ives and St Earth which gives you stunning scenery for the whole journey and is highly recommended.
More information on the beach:
- Dog friendly from October 1st - Easter
- Multiple car parks (however Carbis Bay gets very busy and the car parks fill up quickly)
- RNLI lifeguard cover
- Toilet, cafe, beach shop and restaurant at the hotel
