Head out with us for 1 day in Lucerne Switzerland, where almost nothing went according to plan. We started our day in Lucerne’s bustling train station, where we stumbled upon the most decadent Swiss truffles that we ate while we contemplated our next move.

Despite heavy fog, we headed out for our Mount Pilatus cable car ride, hoping it would clear so we could ascend to the summit. Mother Nature had other plans. But our spirits weren’t dampened - we still had a stunning view of Lake Lucerne from Frakmuntegg and enjoyed slowing down and enjoying our time there.

Afterwards, we headed back to Lucerne, planned to take a boat ride, but we missed the last one for the day! 😭

Returning to the city on our day trip to Lucerne, Switzerland, we set out to visit the iconic Chapel Bridge and the historic Lion Monument. Unfortunately, the monument was under repairs and hidden by scaffolding.

But that’s travel for you - sometimes, you need to roll with the punches!

Despite these hiccups, we still absolutely loved our time in Lucerne. We found ourselves at Mr. Pickwick Pub, taking in the lively atmosphere before ending our day at the Zunfthaus Pfistern Restaurant with my friend Petra where we drowned our minor misadventures in a pot of delicious Swiss fondue.
