Mighty Diamonds are a Jamaican harmony trio, recording roots reggae with a strong Rastafarian and social influence.
The group was formed in 1969 and remains together with that same formation nowadays!
Their first hit singles were recorded and released by the Channel One label. Two of their first greatest songs, "Go Seek Your Rights" and "I Need A Roof" both from early 70s, are classic Mighty Diamonds 'roots reggae' style, in their case characterised by close harmony 'conscious' lyrical content., relatively high-pitched lead vocals, and majestic Instrumentation.
