I wanted to find a photo earlier today. Searching Google Photos was frustrating, while searching Google Drive, was fast and efficient - I found exactly what I was looking for. Here the tip.
Bottom line SEARCH GOOGLE DRIVE instead of searching google photos. However, search Drive, sub section Google Photos also works.

for a wildcard search, remember you can search Drive or Photos for 'tree' and see how machine learning from google will show you ALL photos with a tree, yet that is NOT the one file you are looking for (in this case) ..
In my demo example, you can argue how without knowing the specific file name, this video is inaccurate and does not work. In that case my purpose is to show the DIFFERENCES in SEARCH with Photos versus Drive ..
In win10 using file explorer, i can search 154828 and still get the photo i need btw - and sometimes as we all know win10 search in pretty terrible at times...
