Gianfranco Fagotto is a multilingual, strategic-thinking creative leader with a proven track record of delivering global success in brand design and digital experiences across international markets. His career spans agency and in-house roles for prestigious companies like NetJets, Liz Earle Beauty, and the Financial Times’ content agency, where his innovative work has driven measurable ROI for global brands.
In our interview I created Gianfranco's fantasy cultural year. Expect surprises.
Born in Ecuador, Gianfranco’s childhood as a "tiny globetrotter" exposed him to the richness of diverse cultures across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This nomadic upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for storytelling, creativity, and human connection. With fierce problem-solving skills and a consumer-focused approach, Gianfranco emphasises kindness, empathy, and integrity as the foundation for achieving impactful client results and forging meaningful relationships.
His career began in Milan in the 2000s as an editorial designer for fashion magazines. In 2008, Gianfranco moved to London, joining Liz Earle Beauty in 2010 and advancing to Head of Design at NetJets in 2013. At NetJets, he led a transformative post-merger rebranding and orchestrated global advertising campaigns.
From 2016 to 2022, Gianfranco was Art Director at the Financial Times’ in-house content agency, leading branded content campaigns for renowned clients including AWS, BlackRock, BMW, Google Cloud, and Piaget Watches.
Since 2023, Gianfranco has been consulting as a freelance creative leader, spearheading brand development projects for a diverse clientele, from startups to established companies in aviation, hospitality, and the healthy beverage industry. He also mentors at the University of Westminster, guiding graduates as they launch their creative careers.
A self-described "pragmatic dreamer," Gianfranco thrives on turning vision into tangible success. Beyond his professional achievements, he showcases his artistic passions, including illustration and music, on his Personal Index website. This platform reflects unexplored creative territories and underscores his belief in the transformative power of creativity.
