As per the official release on KR website, from May 1st 2022, some of the major trains on KR are going to run with electric traction and this will mark the end of pure diesel era of KR. Important trains like TVC Rajdhani, Jan Shatabdi, Mangala, Matsyagandha, Netravathi, CSTM MAJN SF are seeing their last few days with pure diesel traction. As of now, only one passenger train running with electric locomotive in south KR, but things will change soon and there will be hardly any trains left with diesel traction within next 2-3 months. The following are few trains captured on 25/04/2022:

1) 12134 MAJN CSTM SF Express with KYN WDG-3A twin locomotives!
2) A north bound loaded BOXN train with ED WAG-5 twin locomotives!
3) 12620 MAQ LTT Matsyagandha SF Express with GOC WDP-4B!
4) 16515 YPR KAWR Express with AJJ WAP-4!
