This iconic Honda CBX1000 has sat in the woods since the 80s and it's painful to see. I bought it to be used for parts for my current Z model restoration so it can live another day.
With just 7,300 original miles this CBX suffered an all-to-common fate with hydrolocking the #1 cylinder causing a bent connecting rod. It's very sad to see but at least we can use many parts from this bike such as the alternator plates, headlight bucket, and more.
Stay tuned for another engine update in the coming weeks as we start to reassemble my main CBX engine!
