A ganglion cyst is a noncancerous growth that most commonly occurs in the tendons or joints of your wrists or hands. Occasionally, they may affect the feet and ankles as well.
While it is rare, if it pushes a nerve, it can be unpleasant. The cyst may interfere with joint motion in a few cases. A cyst ganglion frequently clears alone. It may be drained or removed if it is troubling.
