This SHORT video shows you step by step how to remove your REAR Gladiator Taillight. This can help you access your REVERSE Light Bulbs or your BRAKE Light Bulbs. You first start by opening up your tailgate.
Please note the following:
1) Open your tailgate
2) Remove the two 8mm bolts (screws) that are on the side of the truck bed where the tailgate closes
3) Once the 2 screws are removed, grasp the taillight firmly and pull out slightly enough to remove the taillight from the connection points. DO NOT PULL too far or you will pull out your electrical connections. (see video)
4) If replacing bulbs (3157 incandescent), grasp the plastic ribs at the base of the bulb connection and twist counter clockwise about 45 degrees. (see video) This will free the bulb and connector from the opening.
5) Gently pull out bulb from the connector and replace with new one (Caution: be aware of broken glass and always use rubber gloves when replacing new bulbs - oil and salts from your finger tips can cause certain bulbs to fail prematurely)
6) Replace in reverse order - (align the plastic male connectors into female rubber grommet plugs for rear light when reattaching taillight component.)
7) Tighten bolts to a snug fit, do no over tighten - approximately 60-70 inch pounds
