Travel the Amazon in Peru.

We’ve always wanted to visit the Amazon. Backpacking South America brings many opportunities to do so. We had the perfect opportunity to visit from Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Amazon.

We booked a four day tour staying in a beautiful lodge. These are the last two days of our Amazon tour in Peru.

Our Peruvian Amazon adventure third day was an adventure. We started with a walk along the tree top canopy followed by an exhilarating zip line through the tree tops.

We then kayaked along the Madre de Dios river and then fishing close by.

An early start on the last day took us to the parrot clay lick. We witnessed so many parrots on the wall, a great sight.

Our adventure ended with a visit to a native family just down the river.

We loved our time in the Peruvian Amazon from Puerto Maldonado.
