A day the Supreme Court dismissed several petitions seeking an inquiry into Rafale deal, the government filed an application with the apex court seeking to correct 'factual' error in one of the paragraphs in the documents it submitted before it about the CAG report on the deal. The Defence Ministry has said that their statement was misinterpreted by the Supreme court.
However, the government has refuted the charge, claiming that it never misled the Supreme Court on the CAG report and it seems there is a 'typing-error' which the government counsel may flag next week for correction. At the heart of the uproar is the point 25 on page 21 of the Supreme Court order.
