This year we got to experience the peak of winter in Kyoto (last yeat we went back to Indonesia during winter). Winter in Kyoto was quite harsh, even though we didn't get much snow here. Indonesian people in Kyoto often call it "salju ketombe" or dandruff snow. It doesn't pile up and disappears once it touches the ground.
