Tuesday started with jury selection for the trial of a man charged with killing a Maryland Transit Administration bus driver last year, but ended with a plea deal. Leon Hill was accused of shooting Elaine Jackson, 40, at the MTA bus depot on Washington Street in Baltimore City in 2022. He was charged with first-degree murder and gun violations. "He knows what he did. His conscience was eating at him. He took somebody's life and now he's got to pay for it," the victim's father, Timmy Jackson, said.
