On the November 19-20, 2020, the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) hosted the “International Workshop on Nanotechnology for a Sustainable Future”. This virtual workshop brought together world leaders in nanotechnology to address current global issues, to meet United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) in nanotechnology & society, policy and science diplomacy, industry & innovation, energy & environment, devices for healthcare & communications, and resource management and the circular economy.
This was session two of the workshop entitled: Industry and Innovation. The speakers included Toyohiro Chikyow from the National Institute for Materials Science in Japan, James Rabeau from the University of Sydney School of Physics and Elicia Maine from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. Dr. Chikyow did not consent to his talk being published online thus it is not included in the video.
