Being a resident of West Bengal, Usri falls was a known name to me since childhood. This falls is in Giridi. Many renowned Bengali writers like Satyajit ray, Rabindranath Tagore had mentioned this place in their writings.
Ushree means a "beautiful source". Ushree river is a tributary of Barakar river. This river created the ushri falls.
This waterfall is located around 13 km from Giridi town. Its height is around 10 meter and it is surrounded by dense forest. While falling down the river splits into three clear stream of water, but in the monsoon the water becomes dirty because of red soil.
From giridi, you can take local ricksaw , auto or buses to reach this place.
