Catholic Cemeteries in the Archdiocese of St. Louis are combating the spread of Oak Gall by removing hundreds of trees and replacing them with young saplings. To cut down each tree, dozens of headstones must be carefully laid down while the tree is cut and removed. Then, two new trees are planted for every one removed. It's a labor intensive project, but necessary to ensure our Catholic cemeteries remain beautiful resting places for generations to come.
