The video documents the unveiling ceremony of the Agatha Christie memorial which coincides with the 60th birthday of "The Mousetrap" held on the 18th November 2012 in Covent Garden.
Christie's grandson, Mathew Prichard CBE, together with Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Angela Harvey, unveiled the monument which has been placed at the intersection of Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus, in the heart of the theatre land.
"The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap opened in the West End of London in 1952, and has been running continuously since then. It has the longest initial run of any play in history, with its 25,000th performance taking place on 18 November 2012.[1] It is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era. The play is also known for its twist ending, which the audience are traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theatre". (References: [ Ссылка ])
