As an unmissable landmark right in the centre of Athens, the acropolis has stood for thousands of years as the heart of this city.

Despite being under new management from many civilizations and enduring terrible scenes of destruction during the Persian Wars and the later wars against the Ottomans, today there is still a significant amount to explore around the acropolis.
