This video is an ode to the beautiful #architecture of this Eastern #European capital.
Join me in this video where I explore the #backstreets of the #Hungarian capital, take a nice sunny walk, grab some snacks and coffee along the way and most importantly practice the art of Looking up. Because that is how a lot of beauty in Budapest gets unlocked!

In this video we start out at Kodály körönd subway station, it is located on Andrássy street which is a Unesco World haritage site. There are some gorgeus buildings here, but we quickly turn to one of the side streets as we want to explore the lesser known areas as well.
There we find a very peculiar building. You either love it or hate it but it is certainly a unique structure with all its fine details.
Then we make our way closer to the inner city, to the Nagymező street where the Mai Manó house is located. This hosts the Hungarian Photographers House, dedicated to the famous photographers of Hungary. But the outside of the building is what gets me the most, it looks very unique in the Budapest city scape.
We also walk through the Liszt Ferenc square and also get to mention one of my favorite ramen shops (and possibly the best ramen shop) in Budapest: Komachi. They also serve Gyoza, Japanese Curry, so if you like the japanese cuisine then its a must visit place.
Got hungry after this and we stopped by Freyja, one of my favorite croissant places in the city. Their products are very tasty, sweet and savory as well!
We walk through most of the inner city, but trying to stay off the known streets and focus on the lesser known ones. We get a coffee at Madal, which is a chain that has more places here in Budapest and serve some nice specialty coffee. Then we end the day in Szimpla kert, one of the most popular ruin pubs, but as we arrived somewhere around 3 oclock, there were no large crowds, so we managed to close the day with some nice beer in a calm but unique environment.
