The 6th Plasticity Forum was held in London on September 21st as part of the London Design Festival. "Designing for the Future - Plastic and the Circular Economy" is a unique event focused on the future of plastic, and where the leaders are going with design, innovation, materials, recycling and solutions, for a world with a reduced waste footprint. We are excited to have been part of the London Design Festival this year, as the design community is one of the key components in creating products and processes which will allow for better recovery of plastic material in its "afterlife," and for the reduction of waste.
Plasticity has been previously held in Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, New York, Portugal and Shanghai, and presents ideas and opens up discussions on how to harness this material in new ways, both “pre” and “post” consumer use. It addresses design, materials, innovations, re-use, and waste reduction in the aim of encouraging further innovations within plastic use and powerful collaborations between our community which includes producers, users, recyclers, designers, innovators and entrepreneurs.
