On a trip to Paris this past October / November, we visited Le Salon du Chocolat 2017 in the Porte de Versaille centre. Salon chocolat is a Chocolate festival / Chocolate expo / chocolate fair event, where chocolatiers from Paris, all over France and even all over the world come to let you taste and buy their chocolates.

In Le Salon du chocolat there was also a chocolate fashion show complete with chocolate dress displays with dresses & hats made of cocoa & choc. There were tons and tons of really good chocolate shop stalls, including some of the best chocolates in France and Paris, selling luxury chocolate gifts and luxury chocolates, as you'd expect from a chocolate exhibition, but there were also demonstrations of chocolate-making, additional foodie food stalls selling other sweets and desserts including patisseries / pastries (eg the famous Parisian Praluline by Pralus), crocq'fleurs (=white chocolate shaped into colorful flower petals, flavoured with different floral essences), chocolate mousse, lollipops, hard candies, soft candy, nougat, baklava, macarons (when in France!). There were even savoury stalls selling special gourmet spices to add to your cooking, like specially flavoured colourful salts.
