There are a number of communities here in Door County, Wisconsin that are designated and recognized as a bird city. This means that the community, the residents, the governing body are supporters of nature. They are making sure that there are natural areas within their community that provide homes for wild birds. Anywhere you go in Door County whether it is a backyard, on a land-trust property, or in a state park you can enjoy bird watching. People come from all over the country to see birds here in Door County, and anyone that has come to visit Door County has a leg up in their birding experience.
