We are now seeing high numbers of Respiratory Syncitial Virus (RSV) across Gwent. RSV can lead to bronchiolitis which for some babies can result in being admitted to hospital.
As of this year, we now can offer women who are 28 weeks + pregnant a vaccine to protect their unborn baby from RSV .
