I made a little mistake. I was under the impression that roof vent covers were universal as far as mounting goes. I did a base level of research and that was the impression I got. unfortunately I was wrong and found out after I bought a cover. luckily I got a good deal on it and am only out $25.

the new cover that fits my camper, is the maxxair fanmate. it was $70 but the newer style mounting system is crazyyyy easy.
