This is a manual transmission from a 2008 Subaru Legacy, the stub that the pressure plate throwout bearing rides on broke off, they require lubrication and over years of use will seize to the stub and break the stub off of the transmission. This stub is in two parts as the transmission splits down the center into two sections which adds to the weakness of the part. I will add more strength to it by welding ½” on the nose of the stub, and then welding it back in place without ruining the input shaft seal. The only other way to fix this would be to replace both halves of the transmission $$$$$.
