Toji Temple Flea Market Kyoto Japan 7/21/2018. We leave our hotel the Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo and start walking to Toji Temple. At Toji Temple there is a once a month flea market (crafts, foods, clothing, snacks, plants booths) today and it's about a 12 minute walk from our hotel. It's about 96 degrees, very humid and no wind. When we get to Toji Temple and it feels like 104 degrees. I don't know if it's an enclosed area with a lot of people or what but feels really hot. Some of the people working their booths look uncomfortable too. We walk around to shop for some good deals and admire the lotus flowers. We take a break and have some shave ice. Walk around more and go in to the peaceful and quiet Kondo hall and Kodo hall garden for a fee so we can sit down in the shade for a moment. We also explore the garden ponds and the 5 story pagoda. After our rest we go back to the flea market and buy a happi coat and leave Toji Temple flea market. Enjoy!
