Cliffhanger follows Rocky Mountain Rescue Ranger Gabe Walker (Sylvester Stallone) as he tries to overcome his grief after he watches his friend fall to her death. The Cliffhanger opening scene is one of the most traumatic in movie history.
As fun as that sounds, it does get better as a group of international thieves hijack a Treasury Department plane transporting 100 million dollars. The crew is led by Eric Qualen who is played to smarmy British perfection by John Lithgow.
