TFT highlights good forest management by Precious Woods in Costa Rica a model for Sustainable Forestry systems in a Teak Plantation.
This film takes us to Costa Rica into the teak plantations of forest company Precious Woods. The plantations are examples of mosaic forests linking protected native forests areas and incorporating vegetations and native trees between the teak planted onto lands previously deforested by cattle ranchers. We also witness other aspects of sustainable forestry as practised by Precious Woods; earning the plantations Forest Stewardship Council certification.
