A lawyer's duty of confidentiality is one that we are all familiar with, but what about those situations where disclosure of sensitive or otherwise confidential information is necessary for the case? California Rule of Court 2.551 provides the process for filing under seal and yet many judicial officers are unfamiliar with the process.
