When Liz Turrigiano, founder of Esembly, discovered she was pregnant, she was concerned how a baby would impact her commitment to sustainability. She and her husband decided they'd commit to cloth diapering, which not only was better for the environment, but saved her family from spending hundreds of dollars on disposable diapers. While pregnant, a colleague approached her with the idea to found a New York City cloth diaper service called Diaperkind. Five years later, Turrigiano and her co-founders expanded their reach and founded a reusable diaper product line, Esembly. Since its launch, Esembly has sold over 75,000 diapers, and Turrigiano remains steadfast in her mission to help families everywhere save money and prevent waste.
