उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस के पूर्व पुलिस महानिदेशक विक्रम सिंह Dr Vikram Singh, former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, holds the view that the unseen mysterious holy man who lived in several parts of UP till 1985, was Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
"Gumnami Baba was Netaji, let me tell you as a police officer!" Dr Singh stated in his lecture at IIT Kanpur on 23 January 2014, Netaji's birth anniversary.
