India is celebrated for its rich and varied species of wildlife but rampant hunting in the 1800’s has led to rapid decline of species. In this thoughtful talk, wildlife conservationist Dr. Krithi Karanth illustrates the conscious efforts being put forward to recover the lost species, the impact of projects like “Wildseve” and “Wildshale”and the future of wildlife in India. A leading conservation biologist working on wildlife conservation and its human dimensions.She is currently an Associate Conservation Scientist at the Wildlife Conservation Society,a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Wildlife Studies,and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke University .She was honored as National Geographic Society's 10,000th grantee in 2011.
