The Exotic Garden - in the sense of distant - Monaco was inaugurated in 1933. It is one of the most prestigious of the Côte-d'Azur. The garden is organized into a series of terraces and brings together outdoors a large variety of so-called "succulent" plants such as cacti or cactus.United States , Mexico, Central and South America, South Africa, Eastern and Arabian Peninsula. Despite their extravagant forms, all these "cacti" are fully-fledged plants that regularly produce flowers to reproduce. In addition, the garden offers a beautiful opening on Corsica , there in the distance.
Tour the terraced Jardin Exotique de Monaco atop the town's steep hill on a clear day to see a large collection of succulents and cacti. With extensive views over Monaco that can be seen from many vantage points, the garden offers more than botanical attractions. Broken up into smaller gardens, each terrace contains plantings that group similar plants together. Key attractions include the giant flowering succulents--spectacular even when not in flower--a shady area with a pond and waterfall, and the underground "cathedral"--a large, underground cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites.
