The Tea: Orange Pekoe from Ruhuna. Orange Pekoe from Ruhuna is generally thought to be bold, full, and brisk. It has medium tannins and some notes of fruits. it has no bitterness. First of all we need to warm a tea pot with hot water then we add 4 spoons of loose leaf tea in the warm tea pot. In our family we like to add a few leaves of dried or fresh mint in our tea. Then we need to heat water to about 95°C and pour it in a tea pot (app. 800ml). Lastly we stir tea with a tea spoon and serve it in the tea cups.
The snack: Cheesecake in an apple. 1. Granola: in a larger bowl beat together 150 g butter, 1 cup of flour, 2 cups of oat, 5 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. Break into the crumbs with the palms of your hands and put granola into the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. 2. Cheesecake in an apple: Cut off the tops of four apples and hollow them out. Blend together 1 tsp of butter, 2 tsp of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. Coat insides of the apples with the butter mixture; beat together in a bowl 250 g of cream-cheese, 2 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of milk. 3. Fill each apple with cheesecake filling and sprinkle granola on top. 4. Bake cheesecake filled apples for 20 min at 170°C. Garnish them with mint and walnuts before serving them hot or cold.
About composition: This composition has outstanding visual properties and fantastic taste. Baked apple enhances fruit notes of tea and velvety astringency of tea goes well with the delicate texture of cream cheese. Crisp granola sweetness, spicy notes of cinnamon and sour taste of cream-cheese make this dessert fantastically delicious! Take a sip of tea and feel in the aftertaste remains of mint coolness and long lasting sweetness.
