If you have ever been in this situation, go to start the chainsaw and find that your chain does not move, this is the most common fix I have seen. The chain brake is a feature designed to protect you, but sometime poses problems when engaged accidentally. Some customers have even come in thinking their saw was seized or locked up, when it was as simple as pulling back the chain brake.
Yes it is simple and well known knowledge, but is commonly overlooked. I posted this video to save you guys the trouble and embarrassment of driving to a shop to find this out.
This tip works with most all chainsaws makes and models. Featured in the video is a Stihl ms210c, but all saws follow the same chain brake feature and operation.
