The street photography bug caught me - so out again with the little Ricoh GR II.
Tiny camera, no clumsy tripod, anything can happen. Observe, position, shoot. Always be ready and quick. That's blood pressure raising action and very different from how I usually take photos - I like street photography :)
And the Ricoh GR II makes this much easier than a DSLR or even Mirrorless would. People are less suspicious - I even think they would be more if getting pointed at by a smartphone - the mobility is great and that little beast is amazingly versatile. Great for street photography!
For two of the images, I stretched the shutter speed (1/6" and 0.6") like a maniac - and I love how they turned out.
I pass through this urban railway station a lot and always thought it would be nice to get out with a camera. Now with my newly discovered love for street photography there was no more excuse.
I avoided rush hour, because I think there would be too many people to photograph and film at the same time, so shortly after lunch time worked well.
Although my aim was to capture street action, I just can't resist taking an abstract shot when I see one - or two :)
This station is quite special, the railway tracks being below the river and the above-ground part designed like a ship, so this is a potential future architecture photography target too.
Thanks for watching!
