At the meeting to announce the winning country in the bid to host a major international sports event for university students -- the 2017 Summer Universiade -- Taipei was chosen. Taiwan's delegation jumped up with excitement.
The event gathers more than 12,000 university athletes from over 160 countries, to compete in a variety of sports.
