▶ This particular escapement device was manufactured by Omega in the late 40s as a window or over-the-counter display demonstration of the inner workings of Omega watches and generally all watches of the time.
The three parts shown are the escape wheel, the pallet and the balance.
It features a breguet hairpsring (overcoil) and it depicts every little detail that the actual watch has in its minute dimensions.
The case is housing the driving gear powered by a large clock mainspring. When fully wound it will run for 24 hours.
