Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

1. Recognize the prevalence of aortic stenosis and the risk factors and pathophysiologic mechanisms for development of aortic stenosis in adults
2. Understand natural history of asymptomatic and symptomatic patients with aortic stenosis
3. Understand indications for aortic valve surgery or transcatheter intervention for aortic stenosis based on 2020 AHA/ACC guidelines.
