Persona 3 (Playstation 2) is the fourth mainline entry in Atlus's Persona series, following Megami Ibunroku: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Persona 3 would be the first Persona game to introduce life sim elements and social links into the series. Persona 3 would also introduce the One More battle system. All of these things would carry over to Persona 4 and Persona 5 as well, becoming staple features of the series. Persona 3 would play a huge role in getting not just Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, but Atlus as a whole on people's radars. P3 has three versions: the original Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, and Persona 3 Portable. P3F is just an enhanced version of the original PS2 game. P3P would be a straight remake for the PSP. Persona 3 Portable would be remastered in 2023 for Xbox, PS4, Switch, and Steam PC. I will be covering both FES and Portable in this video. P3FES was played on pcsx2 and P3P was played using the Steam version on PC. Persona 3 is one of my favorite Megami Tensei games, so I hope you enjoy this Persona 3 retrospective.
